I read a book once, and later heard the author use the word “littles” when referring to her children. I liked her book, and I like her, but I didn’t like the use of the word. I’m not big on “cute” words. I also can’t stand “delish.” It might be the lone reason I won’t watch Rachel Rey. Probably my loss.

I’m sensitive to the use of profanity too. I’m not opposed to the used of profanity, but overuse of certain words can diminishing their strength. This can weaken an author’s overall point for me.

Thank you for offering this piece. I will no longer use “adulting.” Neither spellcheck nor I were particularly fond of it anyways.
